We offer two primary backed foil options: foil wax mounted to 15 lb. tissue and foil backed with 30 lb. paper. Each provides different performance characteristics depending on your application.

We sell aluminum foil in both rolls and sheets. All of our products are custom-cut to your specifications, so whether you need continuous rolls or pre-cut sheets in a specific size, we can accommodate your order.

These are three distinct product types:

• Tissue-backed foil (foil wax mounted to 15 lb. tissue): The tissue is laminated to the foil using wax, which gives the foil a non-stick quality. This is a popular choice for confectionery wrapping applications.
• Paper-backed foil (foil backed with 30 lb. paper): Ideal for overwrap applications — think of the classic foil-wrapped chocolate bar. The paper backing adds structure and opacity while keeping the foil flexible.
• Foil board: Unlike the other two, foil board is a rigid, board-like substrate similar to a product box. It is significantly heavier and stiffer than tissue- or paper-backed foil and is used for structural packaging applications.

Minimums vary by product type:

• Confectionery and hair foils: $100 minimum per color. Orders below this threshold are subject to a $20 cutting fee per color.
• Industrial aluminum: $500 minimum order, or a $100 setup fee for smaller runs.

Foil board consists of aluminum foil laminated to paperboard, creating a strong, rigid material with a bright metallic surface. It combines the appearance and barrier properties of aluminum foil with the structural strength and stability of board. The simplest way to understand where foil board fits in the product family:

• Plain foil: aluminum only — thin, flexible, and conformable.
• Foil paper: aluminum foil laminated to relatively lightweight paper — still flexible.
• Foil board: aluminum foil laminated to heavier paperboard or card stock — substantially stiffer and more rigid.

Foil board is used in packaging, point-of-purchase displays, decorative applications, liners, inserts, and anywhere you need the metallic appearance and barrier performance of aluminum foil paired with the rigidity and body of a board substrate. It's the right choice when unsupported foil simply isn't substantial enough for the job.

Both — foil board is available in sheets or rolls, and like everything we do, it's custom-cut to your exact specifications. There's no off-the-shelf limitation; just tell us what you need.

Yes. Alufoil Products Co. guarantees that our products, at the time of shipment or delivery, are not adulterated or misbranded within the meaning of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Our aluminum foil is classified as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) and does not contain unacceptable levels of heavy metals, carcinogens, allergens, elastomer polymers, PFOA/PFAS, or Bisphenol-A. Our products comply with CONEG, RoHS, REACH, and California Proposition 65 guidelines. We further certify that where any regulated substances are present, they are within accepted limits and were not intentionally introduced during manufacturing. Alufoil does not introduce any known allergens during manufacturing or converting. Although we produce packaging materials only — not food substances or additives — we adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices at all times, including contamination controls through HACCP protocols, pest control, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
